George Ernest Ericson
« on: Tuesday 25 July 17 13:40 BST (UK) »
Hi
I am trying to trace the above person.
George was born in Bootle, Lancashire in 1935, his family moved to Shrewsbury, Shropshire
He had three wives:
Patricia Cassidy married about 1950
Christine M Marsh married Portsmouth 1968
Maud Morris married Portsmouth 1979 - she dies in 1979
After that there is not trace of him, don't know whether he stayed in Portsmouth or moved away.
His parents were Francis Alfred Ericson and Jessie Ogilvy

Hope someone can help

Looking at Freebmd there are only 2 Ericson born at the right time - one being yours

Births Jun 1935
Ericson    George E    Ogilvy    Bootle Lancs.    8b   560

So, could this be his death with names reversed? Birth was in the correct period

Ernest George Ericson
Birth Date:   16 May 1935
Date of Registration:   Sep 1992
Age :   57
Eastbourne Sussex
Volume:   18

Thanks for that, I found that information on Ancestry and was not sure if it was the correct person. Does seem a bit strange.

I think, given there aren't any more births, that it has to be the right one - South Coast as well. Not that unusual to switch names around, he may have preferred Ernest or it could just be a mistake.
