William Cole - Stage Waggoner
« on: Tuesday 25 July 17 16:42 BST (UK) »
Daniel Cole was baptised at St Aldgate, Gloucester 12 February 1832 to parents William and Anne Cole. Image available on Ancestry. William's QTP was given as Stage Waggoner.

Can anyone tell me what Stage Waggoner means?  I do not require any further information other than the Quality, Trade or Profession of the father.

Thanks in anticipation.

"A stage waggon is a vehicle that carries goods for hire, and starts from a fixed place to go to a fixed place, its times of starting being also regularly fixed and settled"
