Hi Kate & Lynn
I've spend quite a bit of time searching for Herbert but not really made any progress yet.
I didn't know that Herbert & Sarah had split up but that makes sense. Do you know roughly when this happened?
I note that in the 1911 census, Sarah was living in Eastwood with her son William (my grandad) and a lodger (Gervase Towson aged 64). The census says that Sarah had 11 children of which 4 had died - none of then were living with her except William.
I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to be passing on any emails - please let me know.
Roy

Have not been on the site for a while as I came to a standstill with Herbert and Sarah Annie, Henry and Marina and their families.......I know Sarah was living at Greasley top with her son William and her lodger, then nothing until she passed away in the Highbury Hospital workhouse......No information on Henry at all after they split up......Cannot get in touch with Kate as her e mail that she left me was incorrect......Still struggling with this and nobody left alive to ask......A bit busy at the moment with family as well, but will keep searching.......my e.mail is .........will be in touch    regards   Lynn

Hi Roy & Lynn
I don't have much info but know Sarah & Herbert were my great grandparents. Ask anything and I will try to find out what I can. I think my sister has a bit more info than me. Can put you in touch with her. I would love to find out more and am starting to realise our family is so much bigger than I realised.
Lynn I have emailed you and hope you received it.
Kate x
