Hello,

I was just wondering if I could locate ok immigration and emigration records for my ancestor John H. and Eliza Pepper in 1871 and later the couple plus three children in about 1875.

Hi there is a record for a John Pepper age 21 wife Eliza age 23 departure from Liverpool
Arrival date 17/4/1871 New York( ship City of New York )
Could be a possibility as this couple were on the 1871 census in Liverpool as visitors
John H Pepper age 21 occupation tailor
Eliza Pepper age 23 wife

Unfortunately the UK Incoming Records don't start till 1878

Hi Adam,

You can see that record on Family Search, New York Passenger Lists 1820-1891. The image
isn't loading for the moment. Not sure if it's just my end or FS is having some issues.

Having arrived in New York on the 17th of April 1871 on the ship City of New York, can anyone find a record of John and Eliza Pepper leaving Liverpool? They were living in Liverpool at the time of the 1871 Census earlier that month.

Also, does anyone know anything about ships to and from Ireland? My great-grandmother moved to Ireland at some point before 1922 and returned to England at some point before 1935. Her name was Irene Pepper, parents Frank and Florence.

The outward passenger lists for the UK are only available from 1890 and the incoming lists from 1878
If this is your couple on the New York Passenger list it only gives a departure port which was Liverpool
And the date of arrival ..And to early for the border crossings to Canada ..Is this the family you are searching on the 1881 census address 29.Bridge Street Cambridge England
John H Pepper age 31 born Cambridge occupation tailor
Eliza Pepper age 32
Mabel E Pepper ...Minnie E Pepper and Frank Pepper all born Ontario Canada and other children
Birth record for the twins Mabel Eliza and Minnie Ethel 24 August 1871 Perth Ontario
Father John Henson Pepper occupation tailor
Mother Eliza Scarr
