Please Help Restore and Clean Up this Old Photo of Teresa Dacar

I would be most grateful if someone could please clean up and restore this old photo from 1918.  I have tried to to clean it up with no success.  Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

A black and white clean from me.

Not sure if that white hair piece is a flaw in the photo, maybe I should have removed it?

Interesting Pat . . . .  I too thought the mark on her head was a tear.     :-\ :-\

Odd that there is no sign of it in the reflection . . .  you'd reckon there would be even a small bit showing above her hair wouldn't you.   :-\  :-\

I agree - enlarged it definitely looks as if part of her head/hair is missing and needs rounding off/filling in.

Where did you find the photo, Ron?   Was she someone famous - photo in the paper of magazine for example?  She looks as if she might have been on the stage maybe?
