Rip cleanup of my great-grandparents from Mały Płock, Poland

Hi all, here's a torn photo of my 2x great-grandparents from Mały Płock, Poland. Can anything be done about the tear going through his body or just general cleanup? This photo was taken when they were married in October, 1900.

It is funny how hands can appear large in photos, I never show mine. This bride though is showing off her wedding ring, worn on the right hand by Polish brides I believe.

Thank you very much, I did not know that. I wonder what happened to the ring. Maybe it went to the wife of their oldest son and then his oldest son. Unfortunately this son was kind of "forced" into estrangement by his daughter before his death so the likelihood of recovering any personal items is very low, if he even had it in the first place.
