Yes, Thanks Carole.Just looking for an Edward West.
Edward West is her father,who ever he may be.Probably from a Catholic family as Eileen married at Church of Christ King Calcutta which is still in use today.
Its not that easy to track down a name like West anyway,let alone in India.
Have found an Edward Frank West born unknown place circa 1882 death Calcutta age 60 years,.14 Sep 1942.
Electrical engineer at Nankinara No 2 Mill of Titagarin  Paper Mill,Calcutta,by Cathedral Chaplain.
Probably siblings of Eileens born there also,will need to make a London visit to the British India Records in due course.

Place, St Mary, Bengal.

Now confirmed her birth was in Burma.[stated on death certificate]
Place of Baptism 1920 St Marys Bengal, strongly indicates this place to be  St Marys Cathedral Immaculate Conception, Rangoon Burma.
or now known as Yangon Myanmar.

Having had a look in some detail at the tragic events which occurred in Burma during WW2 to the British civilians and other Europeans living in the country at that time,my lady of interest, Eileen Ann Fenner nee West, was extremely fortunate to have survived.
Still unable to confirm where she was residing pre WW2,but she may well have moved to Calcutta before the Japanese hostilities started.
Also unable to confirm which Edward West is her father,residing in the Rangoon area at time of her birth July 1920.The Edward Frank West,,, Post 18,,,already mentioned died at the Presidency General Hospital Calcutta 14 Sep 1942,age 60 years.formerly in the Burma Corporation at Mausam Falls Burma,also Tigaghur Paper Mills. An electrical engineer.His name is included with the Trek casualties listed in 1942,but his cause of death does not appear to have been caused by the Japanese invasion of Burma.

Correction      The Edward Frank West death 1942 is not the father of Eileen Ann West.
His Probate shows widow as Marie West.  Believe more likely to be a later guy Edward West a Customs Officer.   Ongoing research.

Does Edward Harry West baptised R/C Cathedral Rangoon 7 Feb 1897 have any connection with Eileen Ethel Ann West born 1920 Rangoon.

Edward Harry West two marriages.

1, Millicent Anthony Gomes ,various spellings. 28 April 1919 St Marys R/C Cathedral Rangoon.
2,Lilian Mary Leslie born 1899,on 9th January 1924 Bassein Southern Burma,, now port of Pathein Myanmar.Edward is a widower.Customs Officer.

It is very unusual to be asked such a direct question on Rootschat as what my connection to my post is. Therefore, prefer not to make any comment at this stage.
However,can confirm that I do not do any research other than for my own Family Tree and certainly take no payments.Family History, especially the social side, has been an interest of mine for many years,as it is for many other people who use this excellent site.
