Eileen Ethel Ann WEST born 1920 Bengal India

Am only going on records found,which is why am wondering now if there are two different females with almost the same date of birth and name.
The 1920 Brit Army birth in Bengal ties up with the Salisbury marriage ok,and child.
That marriage certificate will ascertain if Eileen is a spinster at that point.
Unsure where the Payne comes in,perhaps its a mistake on the 1939 Register,
or had she been boarded out with a Payne family previously when younger,her maiden name West by which she married Giles would not be entered anyway would it.

The person travelling from India in 1946 was Eileen Ann Fenner - married. 

You say you have found a marriage between Eileen West and a Fenner in 1946 in Calcutta India - not Salisbury - so I cannot understand what marriage cert you are intending to purchase to find whether she was a spinster

Yes,rechecked the 1939 marriage is incorrect person.
That one is Eileen Elizabeth A Giles nee West.
Death Eileen Elizabeth A Payne 2005 Harlow. dob same.

It would have been highly irregular for a birth/baptism in India one year to have been registered in England the next as well.

There will be more information on the record at the British Library for the 1920 baptism but the details are redacted in accordance with FindMyPast's 100 year policy.

I won't be going for weeks so I can't check for you and I don't know if anyone else here is going either.

The 1946 marriage is definitely the couple who both died in Wiltshire as per my previous replies and Eileen must be the same person as the 1946 passenger list

Clearly her father was Edward - not Robert William Thomas West.  Who were the parents on the Bengal baptism you found?
