Was there no 'heading' or other wording to give some sort of clue?

Found this one too:


Scope and content   GENERAL VICTUALLERS' RECOGNIZANCE. Nicholas Fadock victualler, John Digby and Daniel Digby yeomen, all of Wetherfield; and James Belcham of Felsted, victualler, Thomas Hawes and William Johnson, both of Hedingham Castle yeomen. The conditions are set out in great detail in 25 lines.

Could it be a listing of names for/of some sort of contract?

Scope and content   Recognizance of dan. Digby glover and rich. Bowles tailor, both of Wethersfied; Digby to answer William reynolds. Added: 19 April. Release of securit by Reynolds to Digb.
