Able Seaman James Barron drowned, at sea, on 28th August 1891. Unfortunately I cannot make out the coordinates. Can anyone decipher it for me please? I have searched the newspaper archives but cannot find any mention of this incident.

You don't say which column but is it the one which has Peterhead?

I wonder is is 61.0 N and 9.30W which would be somewhere up near the Faroes?

Yes, that sounds a bit more likely. I tried to find the coordinates Dawn gave & came up with Alaska!
