What were you looking at and what is it you want?

I've seen several entries of a Walter J Taggart who enlisted at Boston on a ship at the Canal Zone, one headed to Okinawa, and maybe others.  There is another WJT who enlisted in Vermont, if my memory is correct.

What do you want?  Are you looking for any and all information pertaining to WJT from Boston on any ship or just the ship Maloy?

There are around 54 entries for Walter J Taggart in the WWII records.  I am about a 1/4 of the way through them.

What I've found:

Walter J Taggart, who enlists in Boston, MA on the 25 Mar 1944, service # 579-28-69, serves on the USS APL 33 and the USS Duncan

There is another WJT:

Walter J Taggart, JR, enlists in Philadelphia, PA 17 Sep 1943 and is on the USS Maloy

At some point, they may serve on the same ship, but I haven't gotten that far.  Most of the records just list those on the ship with their service #, rating at last report, date and place of enlistment.  Some of the reports mention being given leave and returning from that leave.

Before I go any farther, is this what you are looking for?

Which one are you interested in--The one who enlists in Boston, or WJT jr. who enlists in Philadelphia
