James NOCKTON, born c1836, Middlesex
« on: Wednesday 02 August 17 14:17 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Can anyone help with details for James NOCKTON other than those quoted below:

(1):    In 1851 (not on Census but convict records) his mother was Margaret NOCKTON, living
at 19 Rose Street, Long Acre:
(2):    He had been sentenced on 05/08/1851 to transportation for 10 years: this was later
commuted and he was released early from Parkhurst Prison on 26/10/1855: release
records refer to him as MOCKTON and state his destination was Bloomsbury.

Thank you,

BAC3

Hello lizdb,

The Warwickshire connection is interesting......right age, too!!  Demands some research.

The East London Margaret KNOCKTON is a sister possibility??
