There is quite a detailed tree online and most is verifiable and correct.

They don't have the shipping details though.  ;)

They sailed on the Marion from Liverpool 27 August 1854 arriving Adelaide 10 December 1854

Hi Rosie,

I have the 1841/1851 census’s.   I did know about Thomas going to Australia, he married at Dalton in 1851.
John Irving (the father) may have been in the Napoleonic war where he possibily lost a leg. Have no other information on him.
