Herbert and Sarah Barratt's when and whereabouts of deaths.

My Great Grandparent's, think they married in Alfreton in 1886 and had 8 children, they were Herbert Barratt, born 1866 and his wife Sarah nee Cockayne, born 1883....I wish to know when and where they died and are buried, can anyone  please help ?

Have you found them in the 1911 census or 1939 register?

Have you tried death searches using www.freebmd.org.uk?

It would help narrow the search if you could tell us the last time you found them and where. When was the last child born as that helps as well.

I am trying to trace my great grandparents deaths.....the were Herbert Barratt and Sarah Barratt nee Cockayne...Herbert was born in Farnsfield in 1866 - Sarah was born in Swanwick 1881......they married in Alfreton Derbys in 1886 and had 10 children ( 2 stillborn)....stillborn, Lucy, stillborn, Ada, William, Marina, Annie, Eliza, Henry, Alfred.......I want to know where Herbert who died in 1953 and Sarah are buried/cremated and when Sarah died and where......

This looks like Herbert's death

Deaths Mar 1953   
BARRATT    Herbert    86   
Sheffield    2d   377


His certificate should tell you whether or not Sarah was still alive at the time of his death. Also once you have the exact date, you can then contact the Sheffield cemeteries and see if they can tell you where he was buried/cremated.

Can you confirm her date of birth - was it in 1861, can't have been 1881?

ADDED: Found her birth abt 1863.
