The only possible marriage I can see on UK BMD  https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl
Aloysius J WOODBRIDGE to Freda E N ROGERS in sep Q 1920 in Islington.

Ros

adding : Freda E.N. LESTER married in 1944 in W.A. to  Giacomo BORDONI   - possibly her?

For info.

I think her full name maybe Freda Edith Nellie(y) Rogers
born c1900 Channel Island dau of Frederick William & Helena Josephine Rogers
1911c https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWDN-J21

from GRO indexes could be her brother Reginald's birth entry mmn SURMAN

Wow 14 children  :o  That is amazing!

Aloysius other excuse for being discharged in England was that most of his relatives were living in England - was this part true?

I think he was enjoying his time in England and perhaps exaggerated a few reasons why he should stay there.  Just speculating  ... :)

After years of fighting on the battlefields and risking his life in terrible conditions who could blame him ...?
