Improvements for Robert Evans, Sofala, Aust??
« on: Sunday 06 August 17 08:41 BST (UK) »
Hi all ... here's the two photos of an original photo of my great, great grandfather. It would probably have been taken anything up to 20 years before the one of Louisa that I just posted. And the two photos seem quite different in style,

To my un-informed eye, this photo of Robert has possibly been more 'fiddled with - read enhanced' when it was originally created.  It doesn't really seem very life-like to me. But check out that curl on his beard :)

If anyone wants to have a go with it, that would be lovely ... thanks ... Leend
PS Again, I'm not fussed about keeping the original frame

Lovely to get these 'fixes' re Robert Evans from Loord74, Peter(McGregor) and Pat(Trishanne) ... and so promptly too. Thank you all very much.

Handypandy made a surprising (at least to me) and very intriguing point on my 'Louisa Evans Sofala Aust' thread ... he thought both of the original pictures might be pastel drawings and not photographs at all. Wow!

So if you have any thoughts about that idea, pls jump into the conversation on the Louisa thread.

..regards .. Leend
