I could not get the original size to load up below 500kb, even saving it at the lowest quality was over 500kb. Usually it works not sure what happened this time, so here is the screen shot. I would have to email the original sized one or maybe some knows a solution to sizing.

Good looking family.

Wow - I am watching this post with great interest (and much appreciation).  ;)

I have some Photoshop skills but these are rusty as time to play/practice is very limited. It is interesting to see what can be achieved. I am particularly intrigued to see what results can be achieved with the face of the gentleman located top middle (whose name I await conformation of from family)

stsearcher's image appears sharper when compared to the later two versions (which seem slightly blurred) - is this seeming blurring of the edges an intentional step in the process?
For me blurring is a way to hide some scratchs where it is difficult to heal , some clearing filters doing it by default , i agree with you that we need to practice

Thank you for your kind comments Loord74, I just have too much time on my hands :). I also completely agree with Handypandy about not seeing flaws when you work on them for so long and don't notice till you upload. I now tend to view it in the browser a few times before I upload to see what I have missed.
However, everyone does a great job, especially considering how much time goes in to most of these. But it is FUN and I always get excited when I see one that I think I could help on.
Often I work on a new photo but see the great photo's already submitted and realise on those occasions that I can't compete and don't even submit my effort. This is good though because it means new skills can be learnt.
Great work everyone... this one was a big job (but fun.)
Glad you are enjoying the output SiCallear!

Don't treat it like a competition, it will drive you mad  ;D Everyone brings something different to the table. Don't be judge and jury of your own work, often times its subjective anyway.
