Recommendations For Watchmen

The coroner held an inquest yesterday in the case of John McCabe, aged 30 years, who was so badly
burned at the Keystone mill on Second avenue on the night of January 8, that he died at Mercy hospital
yesterday. McCabe was employed as a puddler at the mill, and on the night mentioned wandered into the
mill yard in an intoxicated condition and fell asleep on a hot cinder bank. A verdict was found
according to the facts and the Keystone Mill company recommended to hire competent watchmen to see no
further accidents of a similar nature occurred.
