Richard Burrell Marshall b1825- Sheriff Hutton
« on: Monday 07 August 17 18:36 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone, :)

I am just getting started with the family tree. My mum has got so far, but we have hit a dead end with Richard Burrell Marshall christened 26 June 1825 St Helen of the Holy Cross in Sheriff Hutton. He married Alice Tuke in 1849 at St Olave in York and had 4 children.

I think he may have had a sister Jane Burrell Marshall christened 7 January 1822 and a brother John Burrell Marshall christened 27 January 1823, both in Sheriff Hutton.

The christening entry says his dad was named John and his mum was named Jane, but I can't find a marriage place or date for them. I have no other information about John Marshall except he was a carpenter.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated  :)
Thank you, Carrie

There is a baptism for a Jane Burrell 20 Jan 1791 in Sheriff Hutton father John occ. Wright (possibly Wheelwright)

I can't find a baptism for John Marshall in Sheriff Hutton but there is one at St Lawrence, York in 1789 parents John and Mary

Possible deaths

Jane Marshall age 66 Sep 1857 Malton 9d 241

John Marshall age 62 Mar 1851 Malton Union 24 304
