Outside chance he could have been buried Capel ifan. If member of Carmarthenshire FH'S they have digitised records of Capel ifan burial records on line. Therefore you could plough through these.

Or, try searching their indexed deaths for a possible match

Hi

Noticed you don't mention 1911. Was this because you can't find him in 1911 census and/or suspect he died before then?

Hi--
I did not find him in 1911--also I have a note that he died relatively young.

Assuming he died 1901-1911, there is only one Wiiliam Evans death in Carmarthenshire of right age if you search on free BMD, William Evans age 38, died 1905, Carmarthen 11a 649, but whether it is him or not is another matter!

well he was alive in Jan 1905

I can also see mention of John Evans as landlord in 1906, but by 1909 the son of the landlord was a W S Jeremy

Interesting find. What search criteria did you use to find him?

Can't remember where I got the information from but have John Evans died at New inn on 12 Oct 1908
