Eliza Perry baptized Great Ilford, 4 March 1856
abode Chadwell Heath
BT is here
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9Q97-YSLS-9MC?i=564&cc=1465710&cat=474024

She is Eliza Jane Perry in the GRO birth/death indexes.
Burial at Dagenham of an Eliza Jane Perry, 9 March 1856, age 1 month
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9Q97-YSL6-LMQ?cat=490875

it was witnessed by Thomas Duncombe and Susan Brown

Sorry to digress
Thomas Duncom married Susan Brown, Dec 1858, Romford RD
Looks like he will be the 18 year old in Dagenham (Chadwell Heath) in 1851, son of William and Ann Duncomb. I think William was the son of Moses and Elizabeth, whose burials were being sought only a few weeks ago!

Thank you jonw for your replies.

The two births are very interesting.

I believed Emily Perry married Henry Price in 1876 in Romford.

In the 1881 census Rg11 1745 43 21 there is a Henry Price and Emily E Price with their children.

In the 1891 census Rg12 1370 63 6 there is a Harry Price and Emily Price with their children.

In the 1901 census Rg13 1652 52 11 there is a Henry Price and Emily E Price with their children.

Then in the 1911 census there is a Henry Price and Emily Elizabeth Price with nephews and grandson.

Have I jumped from one family to another.

Hi
It certainly looks as though you have the right Emily, going on the census returns.
She marries Henry Price as plain Emily.
Is this her death?
June 1923 Romford 4a 399
Price, Emily Elizabeth
age 66

Which also ties in with a date of birth of 28 Feb 1857
Birth registered as Emily Esther
Baptized as Esther Elizabeth

So Emily and Elizabeth are in that lot, but it is strange that the Esther name has been dropped. If someone could look up the marriage to put your mind at rest it would be great.
But I do think Emily Price is the daughter of Edward and Mary Ann Perry.

Just to stay on the subject of Edward and Mary Ann's daughter Emily Esther Perry born in Romford in the March quarter of 1857.

Then you have the Baptism that Jonw shows for a Esther Elizabeth Perry born to the right parents at the right time in the right place, could it be the registrar did not understand the parents and they could not write so did not know what was written down, also would the parents have been shown the register was it completed at the end of the day.

It seems to me that the baptism has been completed incorrectly, there is no record of a Esther Elizabeth Perry born at this time.

Then we have the 1911 census and the record of her death both under the name Emily Elizabeth, did she sign her name Emily E and people assumed it was Elizabeth.

Edward and Mary Ann Perry were/are my Great great grandparents. I descend from their daughter Rosina.

When I first came across my Perry line, this marriage totally confused me!  ::)

Mary Ann Perry came from Roxwell and Edward from Barking. As far as I know, they were not related.

 :)

Thank you Diblet for confirming that somebody else thinks Emily's lifeline is very confusing.
