Could someone trace back a family with the following given information.

Samuel moreton , cobbler and methodist married margaret holland  catholoc 1787 liverpool. Son samuel holland moreton birth 1794. Married agnes bell 1838. Daughter of  joiner henry bell. Agnes was one of 21 children. (20 girls and one boy).

You switch between the Morton spelling in your heading and Moreton in your post.  Samuel Holland Moreton (this spelling) married Agnes Bell at St Nicholas, Liverpool on 24 Feb 1838.  They were widower and spinster, both of full age.

Agnes was born abt 1795-7 in Liverpool, according to the censuses and her 1873 death registration in Liverpool.

Samuel Morton (note spelling) married Margaret Holland 3.7.1787 by licence at St Nicholas Liverpool.

Both are shown as "of the parish of Liverpool"

Interested in ancestors prior to samuel moreton/morton cobbler who married margaret holland 1787. Also curious about margarets surname holland.

The name spelling  morton/moreton seems to have changed happily from one to other at will.

Samuel holland moreton was an upwardly mobile gent born 1794. Activities as money lender solicitor wapentek court wirral area.

Thank you for that. I did think the marriage of samuel was late and wondered if there had been a previous marriage with offspring.

No i have no idea . One can never assume.  I feel that he was a liverpool man but he may have come from timbuckto.
