Have you not found Henry on a census after marriage to find out where he was born?

LATTA FRANCIS 1860
644/3 1246
Bridgeton

is not mine he is single :(

What age was he, where did he die & who registered his death?

Errors do occur i.e. it's best to check every detail although I'm not saying he is yours  ;)

He was the only entry as a possible.

Henry was a seaman at the time of his marriage, he had 2 children John b. 15 Apr 1859  Clyde, Glasgow and Walter b. 17 Oct 1868  Clyde, Glasgow. Henry died in 1870 from an infection in his leg sustained on board ship, his wife Flora died in the Fever Hospital 2 years later 1872. Son John being aged 13 signed up as a ships boy. Walter went to live with his uncle Walter (Flora's brother) and family, he stayed with them for 8 years then was put in the City Orphan Home Glasgow (1880), in 1881 he was shipped off to Canada as  Home Boy

Have you checked the Poor Records to see if Flora made an application?
