Gilbert Street ? ** COMPLETED **

Am I reading this right as Gilbert Street, St Anne (Limehouse)    I'm trying to track it down on maps of the time.  There was a Gilbert Wharf, off Narrow Street but no little lane/street running to it.  There was also a Gill Street which is making me doubt what I've transcribed.  I've managed to easily find Edward Street also mentioned two lines above it but this one is evading me

Gill Street is shown in Limehouse, centre of the map-square, behind St Anne's church, running north/south between Gun Lane and Commercial Road ...

The 1851 census street index for Stepney shows no other street-name beginning Gil... What date is the will?

Yup, "fillers" was my suspicion, I went through this will some time ago but hadn't put all the streets on the map. Will was written 1850 and as you've found I can't see "Gil"-anything else at all in Limehouse. I think GILL STREET is the right answer that I suspected. Pin can be stuck in map now
