Dorset Family History Society's Monthly Meeting Talk by Jenny Oliver
« on: Thursday 10 August 17 20:31 BST (UK) »

Jenny Oliver will be giving an interesting and informative talk entitled 'Poole - Signs, Symbols and History'.

Which Poole building bears the mark of a murder?  How did men from the Iron Age cross the harbour? Jenny gives a personal selection of visual clues from Poole’s past to answer these and other intriguing questions.

Jenny became interested in local history when working in Poole Reference Library and wrote “The Book of Poole High Street” published in 2012. Currently she continues to delve into the 17th century history of the area.
