I would have thought that as he was buried in Bedford Cemetery he should show in there burial book.  The CWGC marker would have been added afterwards.  It may be worth contacting the cemetery office.  I contacted them a few years ago by snail mail a got a copy of the burial entry for my grandfather.

This person was my Great Uncle, his sister Violet McCallum (Worrall) was my grandmother. Keen to touch base if we are relatives or want to share family history.
