In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

In the 1851 census she's in Hockley - presumably the same place.

Hi ShaunJ

That's brilliant, I was going stare crazy last night looking at old maps.

Really grateful, much appreciated

Thanks :D

Dobby :)

Edited: ps ~ I can remember now! -Dad & granddad Herbert Tidmarsh use to take me & big bro to Craggs Rd (hill) Bolsover as a kid age 6 ish to visit relo's in a hillside cottage after fishing in a pond in Bolsover, its vague, bit I can remember a stone sink in a cupboard in a recess at the side of a old black leaded fire with oven in a cellar -right dump I thought after our brand new council house.

it's complicated to describe where it is, best clue I've got is my grandma telling us that her grandad lived near the Cundy house, which makes it the area between Houghton road and Hill top, everything altered when the wimpys went up  zoom in on this one and look to the left of the number 499 http://maps.nls.uk/view/101600733

then compare with this to get your bearings

this is pretty cool as well georeferenced so the cursor on the old map moves it on the new map to the same place
