Queens' South Africa medal & clasp
« on: Friday 11 August 17 09:46 BST (UK) »
I have discovered that my grand-uncle was in South Africa from 04/09/1901 until 09/09/1902. His military record shows that he was awarded the QSA and clasp, but not which one. From what I can gather from the dates that the clasps were issued it appears that it would have been either the Cape Colony clasp, the Oragnge Free State clasp, or the Transvaal clasp.

Is there anyway of esastblishing which clasp it was?

He was with the Leicestershire Regiment and I attach part of his military record.

Thanks.

If you check the Medal Roll 3517 Sgt. H. PARKER, it shows his clasp was for the Transvaal.
