Solihull death
« on: Friday 11 August 17 12:34 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me with this question please.

If someone's death in 1946 is shown on FindMyPast as 'Solihull', is there a simple way of identifying where they are likely to be buried?

Thanks
Steve

There are three Council run Robin Hood Cemetery and Crematorium, Woodlands Cemetery and Crematorium ( opened in  1984 ) and Widney Manor Cemetery( opened in 1992) So the only one would be Robin Hood Cemetery and Crematorium which is in Streetsbrook Road, Shirley

.......however where someone dies they are registered, it doesn't mean they are necessarily buried/cremated there.

Thank you for the replies. She's not buried at Robin Hood, alas.

A good point, iluleah, she could be buried just about anywhere I suppose :(. The lady I was enquiring about was my great grandmother. She remarried after my great grandfather died. I went to visit his grave at Witton for the first time recently and there is no headstone. I assumed she was probably buried with her second husband....
