Please check occupation on 1881 census
« on: Friday 11 August 17 15:19 BST (UK) »
Can someone please check the occupation for Thomas Harries, residing 2 Bryn Tawel, George Inn, Gelligaer (RG 11/5307) on the 1881 census.  On my copy he is listed as 'platelayer on'.  I presume his occupation is that of 'platelayer on the railway' but I would like to know for sure.

Thank you

There is a faded word which is presumably "railway"
