« on: Sunday 13 August 17 16:21 BST (UK) »
Hello Everyone,
I am fairly new to this site. Looking for any memories of the above lady ,my late mother b.1931,parents Frederick and Rebecca. Maybe, there are some old school friends out there. I know my mum went to Putney grammar school, but not sure about her primary school.
Also any info on James LONG,Wardley st and Louisa Lamb my gt gt grandparents. Any relatives out there, any photos would be super.
Thank you for reading this.

Hi Claire
Not sure what you really want but I have found a marriage between
James Long Batch aged 24 of Summers Town father John a labourer
and
Louisa Lamb Spin aged 21 of Summers Town, father J Lamb labourer, could be James
at St Mary Summers Town witnesses Sarah Burrows and ? Long
1st June 1884

Seems this family lived in Wardley Street throughout the census, 1891 and 1901, we cannot discus 1911

Your Mother's school friends would also have been born around 1931, so about 86 now.  Unfortunately  I think it unlikely that there will be many people of that age using these boards, let alone having known your Mother.  When friends reunited was active then you could have looked for school friends  for her, but that option has now gone.  Have you got any names at all for her friends in any autograph books, diaries, birthday books that you inherited from her?  Have you contacted Putney G S to see if they have any means of helping you?

James and Louisa Long are in an extensive tree on Ancestry.

Which child of their's is your direct ancestor?

Added:
Gloria June Thorne is in the tree.

Gloria is the daughter of Frederick Thorne and Rebecca Gess.

Rebecca Gess is the daughter of William Gess and Rebecca Long.

Rebecca Long is the daughter of James Long and Louisa Lamb.

So Rebecca Long is the direct ancestor, daughter of James and Louisa.

Really?

'parents Frederick and Rebecca' are Frederick Thorne and Rebecca Gess, so neither is a child of James and Louisa.
