William K. Wyatt, son of William Wyatt

Hello,

William Kerswell/Kerswill Wyatt was born in Plympton St. Mary, Devon, to a father of the same name in c. 1790. His father married Sarah Brown in 1781, also in Plympton St. Mary. Can anyone tell me about the elder William?

If you don't have the details of the marriage it took place 2 July 1781 between illiam Wyatt Farmer and Sarah Brown spinster. Witnesses James Brown and John Sullock (Parish Clerk). They were married by Licence.

I have also looked through the images of Plympton St Mary Parish Register from 1750 to 1765 and although there are plenty of Williams being baptised, none had the surname Wyatt.

Thanks for that. And thanks for your efforts searching through the baptisms. There might be a chance that he was born outside the parish.
