Marriage - St John, Newland - 1942
« on: Wednesday 16 August 17 17:20 BST (UK) »
I wonder whether anyone has access to the parish register for this church - location from YorkshireBMD?

June quarter 1942 - Norman Fredrickson and Lilian Mace.

Reasons:
1) being nosy.   :o
2) my grandmother had a lodger, in Halifax, in 1939 named Norman Fredrickson (born 30 December 1898)
3) in the 1950's I visited a couple living in Boston Spa - Uncle Norman and his wife, who I thought was Aunty Betty!!!  They lived in a prefabricated bungalow.  Electoral Rolls have become available on Ancestry and Norman and Lilian Fredrickson lived at 12 West Lane, Boston Spa, which was a prefabricated bungalow from 1945-1958  8) 8)

1939 Register shows Norman as being a "Sugar Confectionery Warehouseman" .

Norman died in 1966, leaving Lilian as a widow.  Lilian dies 1990.

Any information on the marriage entry would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Yes please, Brian.  I haven't got up to Yorkshire recently in order to have a look for myself.

I just really wanted to be very, very nosy.  I know that my grandmother thought at lot of Norman, and we did visit him on a few occasions when I went to Yorkshire to stay with her.

Look forward to anything you can find.
