Robert Guthrie/Janet Andrew in Renfrew

I am trying to find out anything on the above couple Robert Guthrie/Janet Andrew.They were the mother and father of William Guthrie who married Ann Reston in 12/06/1834 Renfrew, William died 12/05/1868 Renfrew, Ann died 29/03/1886.
I got Robert Guthrie and Janet Andrew names from William's death certificate at Scotlands People.
Could someone please help.

What was Robert's occupation on the death certificate? Also, do you know from a census where William was born? Both these things will make it easier to trace back further.

Robert Guthrie was a Roadman on William's death certificate in Renfrew 1868, birth certificate for William born in Drumrye, East Kilpatrick 20/09/1805.

Looking at the entries in the baptismal registers for the children of Robert and Janet might throw up relatives as witnesses.

I couldn't see Robert or Janet in the 1841 census on FreeCEN, but if you look there you will find some of William's brothers.

John Guthrie and his family are at Bishopton, Erskine, Renfrewshire in 1851. He is a gardener.

Thomas Guthrie and his family are at Kirkton, Erskine, Renfrewshire in 1851. He is an agricultural labourer.

Robert Guthrie (unmarried) is lodging with Jane Allison at Kirkton, Erskine, Renfrewshire in 1851. He is a farm servant.
