Buckminster Burial
« on: Thursday 17 August 17 00:18 BST (UK) »
Greetings from the Central Coast of NSW Australia

Seeking information re the burial of Mary Rowland at Buckminster.

Mary died 1840 at Sewstern aged 33.
Wife of George Rowland who later died in Australia.

Mary was christened 9/10/1807 Saxby Leicester England.  Parents John Osborn and Elizabeth Skinner.

Mary and George had at least two children born at Buckminster:

Samuel Rowland christened 11/10/1835 Buckminster

Sarah Rowland christened 27/4/1834 Buckminster Leicester

Mary and George were married 1832 Leicester Leicestershire England

George Rowland was born 1808 Greetham Rutland England

That is all I am certain of at present, so any further information would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

George Rowland infant was buried 22.5.1840 at St John the Baptist Buckminster

Mary Rowland 33 was buried 2.8.1840 same church

A Jane Rowland infant was buried 5.5.1840 same church but nothing for a James so it may be a transcription error James/Jane

Samuel Rowland aged 18mths was buried 17.4.1837 same church

Hi Carole

Greetings from the Central Coast NSW

Thank you very much for providing the burial place and dates for young Mary Rowland and her three infants. Husband George came to Australia a few years after Mary died.

Greatly appreciate your help with this
