Newcastle Evening Chronicle death notice look up please

Hi, if anyone can do a look up for me, would be very grateful:

Ida Brown age 81 (b.1881)
Registered March 1962 so could be between January to April

I have the death certificate info, but wondered if there was any further information from a possible notice in the paper.....

Will be sending for the death certificate shortly, have only just stumbled upon it!

Any information gratefully received

Could also be late December 1961

The Chronicle was a daily paper, so a look up requires trawling through an enormous number of pages, January to the end of March.
It would be better to establish the exact date of death first.

Oh, okay will get the death certificate and see who notified the death.
I guess I thought someone could go in and get it easier than that!

If you know where they lived and located where the closest cemetery/crematorium is to their home perhaps someone kind might be able to find the date of the service at Tyne and Wear Archives.

This would really narrow down dates and make it a lot easier then to find any death notice.  Plus this could save you the price of a death certificate.

Thanks for your information, will bear it in mind if it's who we're after.

Unfortunately we don't know details of the lady, we're hoping that the death certificate will give us further information, and take it from there. Am hoping that the informant may give us a clue.
Been trying to find her since she disappeared from her marital home about 1911.
Her name, dob and age could be the person we're looking for, also she lived in Newcastle.
Just have to wait and see!
