Can anyone advise me if there are any records on the inmates of the Celbridge Workhouse County Kildare for the period 1883-1900. Shiraz

Thanks Sinaan for your quick response.  I'm trying to track down the whereabouts of my great, great grandmother. With her son Martin Connolly they were tenants of Major Hugh Barton of Straffan House on a small holding in Ovidstown. In 1883 they were evicted from the smallholding, this despite Gladstone's act of 1880. Family folklore says the mother was ill and was taken in by relatives, but I can't find any trace of her and I think 'taken in by relatives' might be a euphemism for the workhouse. The son Martin is said to have moved to Mullingar, but then again I have failed to find him or his mother. As I live in South Africa it hasn't been an easy quest to locate my ancestors. Shiraz.

What was the mother's name?
And ages of mother and son, do you have her husband's name?
