trying to identify Herbert Arthur Weston
« on: Thursday 17 August 17 22:10 BST (UK) »
Good evening everyone,  the photo attached is of my grandfather (on the left) Herbert Arthur Weston, who was killed in france in 1917, he had three brothers, one was killed at the battle of jutland in 1916, and the others I believe were in the army during the first world was, I was informed that one of his brothers Frederick d Weston was also in the same regiment as my grandfather (the royal Warwickshire regiment) what I am trying to find out is who is the other person on the photo with my grandfather? did they tend to have photos taken with siblings together when they joined up? I would just love to be able to identify the other man on the photograph.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thank you

There is a medal record for a Frederick D Weston who served first in the Warwickshire and then in the Berkshire Regiments, no further details for him though.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

Hasn't worked again unfortunately.  Have you checked through the guidance Sarah cited underneath her first post?
