I don't think there's any info there to help confirm or otherwise his connection.  But there is an interesting exchange about whether 1st wife or 2nd wife (also divorced) should receive his medals and also contains his photos.

As I am sure dexter knows
Julia (nee FLETT) was having children with her husband Robert George BRUTON from 1906/7 when she married (#1262)
Robert died in 1937
It is unlikely she was the mother of Clarence.

I don't think the connection with Clarence PIKE will help you.

I wonder if you would be able to answer the question posed  earlier.  Perhaps her parents names too

What year for her birth?  perhaps she is still living?

The NSW BDM online index has James and Ann (Fanny) as parents for several children whose births are indexed for Balranald District, but Julia's birth may be mis-recorded ... seems it is not registered at Balranald as Julia Flett or any of the variations displayed on the index for her BRUTON children.

Agh,  well, I have not found any James FLETT at Balranald on any of my Electoral Rolls for that era

     so Julia SMITH may be worth following ... 

Vic BDM certs are full of info, I would expect the Bruton marriage image will be more detailed than 'NSW'
