The marriage details for Charles Norris and Annie Hookey in 1877 Bethnal Green are on Ancestry where you can view the actual certificate in the collection 'London, England, Marriages and Banns 1754-1921.

I concur with you, redtonyt - the only definite sighting we have on Charles Morris (son of John) is on 1881 census for Chalk, Kent when it states born 'Peckham, Kent' - however, I now see a Charles Morris, widower, is in Chalk, Kent in 1871 age incorrectly transcribed as 23 instead of 33 (bc.1838) but born Petham and that in 1861 he is in Petham, aged 27 (bc.1834) and unmarried - so had to have been married and widowed between 1861 and 1871.  There are only 2 possible marriages in Kent both in 1862 - one to an Ann Hope in Maidstone district but they appear to be living in the area in 1871 and 1881 so that just leaves the Hernehill marriage to Frances Harris.   As already mentioned, a Frances Morris aged 25 (bc.1838) was buried Hernehill 16/6/1863 so this looks like her.   Births show an unnamed son on GRO Index in June quarter 1863 (though can't see separate burial for child) mmn Harris so looks like Frances died at or soon after giving birth, as did child.

So, would seem Charles Morris was indeed the one baptised in Waltham, Kent on 12/7/1829 - who appeared to get younger as he aged!! His parents were John Morris, blacksmith and Ann Hyde who married 24/12/1828 Petham - they had 4 children after Charles who, according to 1851 census were born at Petham but John bp.13/6/1830, William Angel bp.4/8/1833, Samuel bp.24/8/1834 were, like Charles, baptised in Waltham leaving just the youngest - Rebecca Susanna - bp.15/7/1839 in Petham itself.   John senior death recorded in Jun.1866 qtr Bridge, Kent so Charles father was indeed deceased when he married Annie Hookey in 1877 - he himself was baptised at Petham 16/5/1802, son of a John and Susannah.
