Finally one taken in India or Burma I think. There are others showing the type of vessel  he served on (Landing Craft Guns) and some of surrendered Japanese troops. If anyone thinks they may be of interest then I will happily post them on this thread.

I would like to see more as I was serving at the same time in the RM (now 90+).
I think he was having a bit of fun with the uniforms (hats in particular) swapping with the others as I cannot  remember RM's wearing anything other than beret's, peaked hats or helmets according to the occasion.

Last one for a moment. As a matter of interest according to his service record Dad was at Portsmouth, Scotland, Italy, and the far east (India / Burma) and among his medals is  the France & Germany star.
Also have an uncle who survived HMS Barham torpedoing and sinking.
