Which to Believe?

Not my ancestor but

Married at Northampton All Saints in 1802 (image is on Ancestry)
Richard Blunt otp, bachelor
Ann Nickols otp, spinster

but the marriage bond has Ann Nickols a WIDOW

I suspect the at the bond is correct

The obvious thing to do is to look for information of a previous marriage rather than believing either.
Never take any information at face value always look for supporting information.
