Maud Kathleen BOWMAN marries William James GENTLES ... she was given away by Samuel GENTLES, no mention of her parents in this cutting.

I can see the online image of an official transcription for the 1889 marriage of John BOWMAN and Rebecca SHEPHARD.   I can see that the transcriber has NOT noted any NSW BDM reconciliation to the Church Registers, and I conclude that NSW BDM did not reconcile back to the church registers.  This is NOT unusual, afterall this is not a metropolitan marriage.   The elusive blanks are a) the then ages of both the bride and the groom  b) the places of birth of the bride and the groom c) the occupation of the bride d) the respective fathers and mothers (including nee names) of the bride and the groom  e) the respective occupations the fathers.

The marriage was according to the rites of the Church of England, at Warne, in the Wellington district, on 16 June 1889.  The Reverend was John ALLDIS and the witnesses were Thos MOFFATT and A.W.E. TOM.    John Bowman and Rebecca SHEPHERD both made their marks.  Their usual residences were both at Kerrs Creek and John was a Blacksmith.   “The consent of George Shepherd, father of the bride” was given, as Rebecca was not yet 21 years of age.  The NSW BDM ref is #1889/7137

It may be worthwhile contacting the Anglican Diocese office at Bathurst to ask for further information from the church registers.

Possibly referring to the daughter who married William, brother of John:

7439/1893 BOWMAN William SHEPHERD Annie N WELLINGTON (I'm guessing the N stands for NARNIA  ;))
