julia o'shea of earneen
« on: Sunday 20 August 17 13:27 BST (UK) »
I am looking for information about Julia O'Shea. She came from Earneen near Bonane in Kerry and was born around 1820, I guess. She married james/Seamus O'Sullivan and they lived in Glengarriff. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Do you know what religious denomination she was?

Catholic Parish Registers are at registers.nli.ie.
(There is no index ::) You have to browse the pages)

More Church Records are at www.irishgenealogy.ie.
(Mostly Protestant, but some others, too)

Thanks for such a swift reply. I've tried church records but will now look at your first suggestion. She was RC. Thanks again.

Thank you. I've trawled through with my best guess dates but nothing. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about O'Sheas in Earneen. I do know there were lots - and there were/are lots of O'Sullivans in Glengarriff!

Erneen and Glengarriff are in the same parish but the records only start 1846

Neither parish has records early enough for James or Julia's baptisms.
