Just wanted to report, after deciding to spend £9.95 on a months find my past sub, the military record would appear to be our man - occupation is given as clicker, and mother Harriet Harvey is listed.
He does seem to have had quite a few sprains and damaged ligaments and was discharged unfit in March 1900.
