Help .. where is this Place near Stoneykirk

Can anybody make out this handwriting? Its a birth certificate from 1838 and might help me get back a little further with my Little lineage.

Hi Bodach,

Kirklauchlane,  Parish? in Wigtonshire  on the coast to the west of Stoneykirk, about 2mls south of Knockinaam House.

It would be worth looking for the family in the 1841 census on ScotlandsPeople to see where they were living 3 years later - or for other childrens' baptisms.

I agree with Istrice that it is Kirklauchlane.

Hi Josey,

 I've tried for a few years now to track down any information on Jean Little from Stoneykirk but its a tough one.
Her parents, Alexander Wilson and Jane Little were married in Laurieston, Glasgow 1837. I only know of Stoneykirk because it is mentioned once, in Where Born on the 1861 census and it also states Daughter Jean Wilson was born in Stoneykirk. All the other siblings were born in New Monklands, Lanarkshire.  I can't find any record of Jane Littles birth or parents yet.... 

I can start looking around Kirklauchlane now, thanks Istrice.

I'm open to all suggestions and hints btw lol
