Arthur Bowles, where is he

Hi,
Can anyone help with finding Arthur Bowles, born around 1896 Leicester, and died about the same year.  Son of Harry Bowles, b1872 Bradford Yorkshire and Charlotte M Ayto, b 1873 Leicester.  I believe he was the first born and had a brother born in 1899 Leicester.  Harry and Charlotte were married c1896 Leicester.

If he was born and died very soon after, and did not live long enough to be on a census, then the places to "find" him will surely be his birth and death?  And, as you know his parents and his year of birth/death etc, then have you already got these?  What else are you hoping for?

1901 has Harry and Charlotte with 3 children;  John (b 1899), Frederick (b 1901) and Grace E (b 1900).

Have you looked for them on 1911 census?  That should show how many children were born and how many had died.


Just checked Grace's birth registration using the new GRO Index;  mother's name shown as Mortimer.

I am looking for my sister who has all the info.  We have been to  Wigston family history centre without luck.  Nothing so far on births and deaths.

1 had died by then but cant find a Birth/Death Reg for a Arthur.

It would appear from childrens birth registrations that Charlottes maiden surname was Mortimer
