Passengerlist
« on: Thursday 24 August 17 14:14 BST (UK) »
Hi there, is there anyone who can help me? I'm searching the passenger list of the (ship for the Swedish American Line) Drottingholm from 1943. I'm doing research about a certain Thomas Patterson, born August 10, 1914. He was a prisoner of war and was repatriated from Stalag XXI/A on 14/10/1943 via Göteborg  (Sweden) , as prisoner of war N° 7168. His destination was England. I'm not quite sure if it may have been the Drottingholm. Some speak of Gripsholm, but this was more for America I thought.

Many thanks in advance ,
Luc

I am sure you will have looked at the salship.se web site which has the story of a British soldier on the  Drottningholm in "late 1943" http://www.salship.se/MacRitchie.php

This site has a little detail of a Gripsholm voyage from Japan to USA in November 1943 so probably not available to sail from Gothenburg in October.
https://blogs.cul.columbia.edu/burke/2012/09/17/the-gripsholm-exchange-and-repatriation-voyages-2/  It looks as if you could confirm the voyages with the Columbia University address given on the site.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

Thank you for the reply, Max D .
Also for the websites.  Indeed, the “http://www.salship.se/MacRitchie.php.  “I had already visited.
Kindest regards,
