Brandywell. Long Tower, lower Road area Derry city
« on: Thursday 24 August 17 22:21 BST (UK) »
I have a birth record of relative being born in 1905 in "Lower Road area of Derry City as stated on Baptismal record.

Where can I find this area( ie Lower Road") area in 1901 census of Derry City. I believe that it may be around the Brandywell/ Long Tower area. a "Mrs Kane" was present at birth. Looking for a married lady with that surname who may have resided in "Lower Road" in 1901

Hi,
In the 1901 census there is a Mrs McKane living in Lower Road, Londonderry with her husband and family. The area is between Great James Street and William Street close to the Roman Catholic Cathedral.
