Susan has confused me.
She's the daughter of Esau Tucker and Elizabeth Sansom. She was baptised on 5 March 1843 in Lyme Regis.
In 1851 she is in Silver St, Lyme Regis with her maternal grandmother Mary.
On 19 March 1858 she married Charles Grattan at Lyme Regis. They had two children in Lyme Regis-
Henry George Grattan in 1859 and Elizabeth Ann Grattan in 1863.
On 17 Feb 1870 Susan (now a widow) married Maurice Hallett. His father is Edward. They're together on the 1871 census in Lyme Regis in Jerrico St. Maurice was born in 1849 and he is a labourer.
I think the Hallett family next door are Maurice's parents (Edward and Mary) and siblings, which includes Albert Benjamin Hallet, baptised on 21 Feb 1851. Edward is a tailor. Albert is recorded as Benjamin on this census and he is a cabinet maker.
I can't see them in 1881 in Lyme Regis, but there is a Susan Hallet from Lyme Regis with Elizabeth Grattan and husband Albert Hallett in Mile End in 1881. They're all from Lyme Regis. I haven't found a wedding for this couple.
In 1881 there's a Maurice Hallett aged 32 (1849) from Lyme Regis with wife Jane in Caledonian Rd, Islington. He's a railway porter. It appears he and Jane Williamson (widow) married in 1877 at Maida Hill on 14 Oct 1877, but Maurice added about a decade to his age and said he was a
bachelor.
In 1891 Albert and Susan are at the same address in Mile End but wife has been crossed out and replaced with sister. Elizabeth Langworthy nee Grattan is visiting.
It appears to me that Susan and Maurice separated and then Susan and Albert/Benjamin moved in together. Susan and Benjamin are still together in 1911 (they state they've been married for 36 years.
I'd appreciate any flaws in this hypothesis being pointed out.
